It's the eve of my birthday. A plethora of thoughts and emotions ignite my being. Most of all I am grateful for being a year older. I started a ritual several years ago, during the eve of my birthday which was to list out what I am thankful and grateful for the past year. Here is the list of my top 10 this year. • My heart - continuously pumping and keeping me a live for 44 years and counting. • My body - allowing me to experience this world and beyond. • My parents - who have encouraged, believed and supported my passions even when I
doubted myself. • The roof over my head and the food i get to eat, share and enjoy with family, friends and
sometimes strangers. • Working from a home studio where i still get to be near my folks and let them see and
participate in my creative world. • Constantly having family, friends, mentors and kind strangers guiding me towards becoming a better version of myself. • Having self awareness to understand the bigger purpose that i have in this universe • Being taught about being humble and kind from a very young age by my grandparents
through their actions. • The talent and gifts that have been bestowed to me by both my ancestors and the divine.
• For all the support and encouragement from family, friends and strangers since I
embarked on my artistic journey.
With the world at a crazy place at the moment, it has certainly brought to my attention that so much more needs to be done and it starts with me making small or big changes everyday that will contribute to the collective good.
Leaving you peeps with two images of me in my rarely used floral top. One in quite contemplation and almost pensive mood juxtaposed to my normal mostly goofy self. A reflection of how I navigate this journey called life.
Lots of love to you.
Stay blessed, stay grounded,
